• Hair photos — photos you take or upload for analysis. These are sent to our AI service to identify your curl type and are not stored permanently.
• Usage data — how you interact with the app, to help us improve the experience.
• Subscription data — information about your in-app purchases and subscription status, managed by RevenueCat.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide AI-powered hair analysis results.
• To personalise tips and recommendations based on your curl type.
• To manage your account and subscription.
• To respond to support requests.
• To improve the app and fix issues.

3. Camera and Photo Access

CurlsAI requests access to your camera and photo library solely to take or select photos of your hair for analysis. Photos are sent securely to our AI service (OpenAI) for processing and are not stored on our servers after analysis is complete. We do not use your photos for any other purpose.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase — stores your account data securely.
• OpenAI — processes your hair photos to generate curl type analysis.
• RevenueCat — manages in-app subscriptions and purchases.
• Apple / Google — handles sign-in authentication.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing their use of data.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS).

CurlsAI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
